Piyanart Sommani is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology (KMITL). With an academic background in multiple disciplines, her research interests include science and engineering, particularly medical sciences, energy, and environmental technologies. In addition to the academic work, she is involved in supporting industry, professional organizations, and governmental agencies. Due to experience working in the industrial sector, she has a growing interest in industrial safety, particularly process safety management (PSM); and she incorporates safety concepts from her industrial experience to foster awareness in her students.
