Phop Chancharoensook was born in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut’s institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) in 1995. Later, Phop received his M.Eng.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Dr. Phop is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand. His research interests include power electronics, power quality, energy storage systems, renewable energy applications, electrical machines and drives, especially switched reluctance machine control.
