Piampoom Sarikprueck received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas, USA, in 2015. In 2002, he joined the KMITL, where he is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. His research areas of interest include energy conversion technologies, rotating electric machines, power systems, renewable energy applications, battery technologies, EV charging infrastructure, statistical forecasting, sustainable energy, and material recovery using electrochemical methods.

Biography
Piampoom Sarikprueck is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Vice Dean of the School of Engineering at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand. With over two decades of academic, research, and consulting experience, His work focuses on energy conversion technologies, electric machines, power systems planning, electric vehicle infrastructure, and renewable energy applications. He held a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he specialized in forecasting methods for optimal electric vehicle charging operations. Throughout his career, he has led and contributed to numerous national and international research projects in collaboration with government agencies, universities, and industry partners. His work has addressed critical issues such as battery technologies, energy systems optimization, statistical forecasting, and sustainable industrial development.
He serves as an assessor for the Thailand Quality Award and has been actively involved in policy and technical standard development related to energy efficiency and environmental management. He has published extensively in IEEE Transactions and international conferences and received several honors including the IEEE Ralph H. Lee Prize Paper Award, a Royal Thai Government Scholarship, and recognition at innovation contests. His commitment to energy innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful research drives my academic and professional contributions to Thailand’s transition toward a more sustainable energy future.
